At the end of 2024. J-Novel Club annual contest ended. If you have trouble finishing your previous project for that one. YOROKOBE, There's another one coming up. Wait, actually it's already running and you can submit today.
This time, it was held by MAL and Honeyfeed.
MAL is you know Myanimelist. Yes, that Myanimelist. And Honeyfeed is... ANOTHER new writing platform.
Considering how new the platform is. I don't really know much about them. But, we at least have bonafide sponsor. Not to mention, there's monetary prize too. So even if you IP got taken away, you are at least being paid if you win.
From a little glance, this doesn't seems to be some shady Chinese online publishing platform.
Just like JNC contest, there's a minimum wordcount for your novel to be accepted. And it's also ENGLISH ONLY. But the requirement is lighter, only 25k words. Though, in exchange now we have quite specific theme that need to be followed.

Btw, the theme/prompts are these two.
Prompt 1: “Love Transcends Boundaries”
What we’re looking for in this prompt:
A youthful romance that transcends borders. We’re looking for stories where love blossoms despite cultural divides—whether it’s between people from different countries, different species, different worlds, or even across different times and dimensions. Show us how your characters navigate and celebrate their differences, overcoming challenges to create a bond that bridges cultures. As long as cultural differences are involved, any concept is welcome!
Prompt 2: “The End is Now”
What we’re looking for in this prompt:
When you realize the world will cease to exist in a year, how will you live?
The reason could be a natural disaster, a man-made catastrophe, an alien invasion, or something entirely unexpected. What matters is this: the clock is ticking, and everyone knows it. We are looking for stories that dive deep into this one-year timeline. How do people react when the end is certain? How does society, culture, and individual behavior change when faced with imminent doom—or the slim possibility of salvation?
