I have heard situation since last month. And yesterday, it was my turn.
Fb moderation has been going downhill since, maybe 3-4 years ago. Not to mention, it has been stuffed with rage bait sponsored posts, ads, and even more ads my friend's post is literally buried under all of them. And recently, even their post are all algorithmically laid on my feed. Not only are not all my friends' posts visible, but many times their newest post is not even shown.
Obviously it also happened to me, which made us little by little getting farher even though we used to comment on each others post regulary. We simply can't find each other without manually going to their page.
And let's not even talk about AI slops and straight-up misinformation.
It's truly become a place where you mostly interact with strangers. I have been thinking of quitting considering just how hostile it was to me. But, i have a lot of friends still staying. So I tolerate and tolerate and tolerate and tolerate.
But it seems facebook unable to tolerate me first for "Violating their TOS". Like, i remember they are banning for a week because i violate their rules for "violence incitement". Even though i just posted these panels.
And joked around about not throwing children around. . .
If you are still on the platform. Be very careful, after all their "leading technology in moderation" is absolutely stooooopid.
